Assist. Prof. Dr. Na Hu is an accomplished early-career scholar in developmental psychology, currently serving as Assistant Professor at Shanghai Normal University since 2022. She obtained her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from East China Normal University in 2022, where her doctoral work focused on interpersonal emotion regulation among children and adolescents, following an M.A. in Developmental Psychology from Southwest University (2018) and a B.A. in Applied Psychology from Anhui Agricultural University (2015). With a growing international reputation, Dr. Hu’s research expertise centers on interpersonal emotion regulation, solitude preference, and helicopter parenting, particularly in relation to children’s and adolescents’ psychological adjustment. She has developed strong technical skills in EEG recording and analysis, as well as proficiency in fNIRS and fMRI data processing, and is adept in advanced statistical methods including dynamic structural equation modeling, latent growth modeling, and longitudinal analysis using R, SPSS, and Mplus. Professionally, she has led and contributed to several funded research projects supported by the Ministry of Education of China, Shanghai Municipal Government, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, establishing herself as a principal investigator with strong leadership capacity. Her publication record includes more than 19 peer-reviewed journal articles in leading outlets such as Journal of Youth and Adolescence, Biological Psychology, Acta Psychologica, and Current Psychology, with multiple works indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.
