Prof. Dr. Luísa Soares, also known as Maria Luísa Pereira Soares, PhD (Ramon Llull University, Barcelona, 2007), is an accomplished clinical and educational psychologist from Madeira, Portugal, with over 26 years of experience in higher education and clinical practice. She holds a Psychology degree from the University of Porto (1997), a Post-graduation in Narrative Cognitive Psychotherapy (Porto, Portugal), and a DEA certificate from University Ramon Llull, Barcelona, prior to completing her PhD. Since 2007, she has been an Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Madeira, teaching curricular units in Clinical and Health Psychology, History of Psychology, Health Psychology, and Clinical Cognitive Behavioral Interventions, while serving as Director of the Master’s in Clinical Psychology of Health and Well-Being. Her research focuses on Clinical Psychology, Psychology of Education, Higher Education, and the interface between Clinical Psychology and technology/human-computer interaction.
