Ms. AixiaLiu | Reproductive Endocrinology | Best Researcher Award
Chief Physician | Zhejiang University | China
Dr. Ai-Xia Liu is a prominent reproductive endocrinologist and Chief Physician at the Women’s Hospital, School of Medicine, Zhejiang University, China. With a Ph.D. in Reproductive Endocrinology from Zhejiang University and an M.D. from Sichuan University, Dr. Liu has developed a strong academic and clinical foundation in reproductive medicine. Her primary research expertise encompasses reproductive mechanisms, infertility, early pregnancy loss, decidual cell biology, placental physiology, and the molecular regulation of reproductive disorders, with a particular focus on the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway, endoplasmic reticulum stress, and metabolic regulation during pregnancy. Over the past two decades, Dr. Liu has authored 44 peer-reviewed publications with over 1,060 citations and an h-index of 18, reflecting her sustained scholarly impact in reproductive science. Her work has been published in high-impact journals such as Frontiers in Immunology, iScience, International Journal of Molecular Sciences, and Cell Death & Disease. Dr. Liu’s research is internationally collaborative, including academic exchanges with the University of Wisconsin (USA) and the University of British Columbia (Canada). She has successfully led several national and provincial grants, including projects funded by the National Key R&D Program of China and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, advancing understanding of endometrial decidualization, early pregnancy loss, and maternal-fetal interactions. As an active member of multiple professional societies, Dr. Liu contributes to the advancement of clinical reproductive health standards. Her ongoing work aims to translate molecular insights into diagnostic and therapeutic innovations, promoting women’s reproductive health and addressing global challenges in fertility and early pregnancy management.
