Dr. Suvimol Somwongin, a distinguished researcher and lecturer at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy, Chiang Mai University, Thailand, has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing cosmetic and pharmaceutical sciences through innovative research in nanodelivery systems, green extraction technologies, and natural bioactive compounds. She earned her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2023) from Chiang Mai University with a perfect GPA of 4.00, focusing on the “Development of Nano Delivery Systems Containing Macadamia integrifolia Pericarp Extracts by Green Extraction Methods for Anti-skin Ageing.” Prior to that, she completed her M.Sc. in Cosmetic Science (2018) with a GPA of 3.89 and a B.Pharm. (2009) from the same institution. Dr. Somwongin’s professional journey includes extensive experience as a lecturer since 2023, alongside over a decade of service as a pharmacist in hospitals and community pharmacies across Chiang Mai. Her research interests center on cosmeceutical formulation, nanotechnology-based drug delivery, sustainable extraction methods, antioxidant and anti-aging bioactives, and the valorization of natural and agricultural resources. She possesses strong research skills in nanoparticle fabrication, analytical characterization, formulation optimization, molecular docking, and biological efficacy testing, integrating both scientific precision and environmental sustainability. Dr. Somwongin’s impactful publications in high-impact journals such as Nanomaterials, Ultrasonics Sonochemistry, Pharmaceutics, and Scientific Reports have contributed to the global advancement of natural product-based cosmetic science. She is also the inventor of multiple patents and petty patents related to nanoemulsions, liposomes, and extraction technologies. Recognized for her academic excellence and innovation, she has received awards for outstanding poster presentations and has actively participated in international conferences across Thailand and Taiwan.
