Merita Berisha completed her Doctor of Medicine degree with an average grade of 9.48 from the Faculty of Medicine, UP, on 17.04.1987. She further pursued a Master’s Degree in Medical Sciences (Mr Sci) from the same institution, graduating on 27.02.1998. She also obtained a specialization in Social Medicine from the Ministry of Health, RKS, Faculty of Medicine, UP, on 20.06.2000. Dr. Berisha achieved her Doctorate in Medical Sciences from the Faculty of Medicine, UP, on 26.09.2001.

Dr. Merita Berisha has been an integral part of the Faculty of Medicine, UP, for several years. She was elected as an Assistant Professor for the subject of Social Medicine in 2002 and was re-elected in 2007. She continued her academic journey and was elected as an Associate Professor for the subject of Social Medicine in 2012, with a re-election in 2017.
