Dr. Iryna Heiets is a Senior Lecturer in Aviation and Program Manager for the Bachelor of Applied Science (Aviation) and Bachelor of Applied Science (Aviation) / Bachelor of Business at RMIT University, Melbourne. She earned her Ph.D. in Economics and Corporate Management (Aviation) from the National Aviation University (Ukraine), where she also completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees with honors. With over 15 years of academic and professional experience, Dr. Heiets has held several key academic positions, including Associate Professor and Vice-Dean for Foreign Students at the National Aviation University, as well as Deputy Director for International Activity at the Institute of Economics and Management. She has also undertaken international academic mobility at the University of Montpellier (France) and completed professional education at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (USA). Her teaching portfolio spans multiple international campuses, including Singapore, Vietnam, and Hong Kong, where she coordinates and lectures in airline operations, marketing, aviation strategy, and quality systems. Dr. Heiets’s research focuses on air transportation management, aviation strategy, airline economics, coopetition, and marketing, with a particular emphasis on the integration of technology and blended learning in aviation education. Her research collaborations include leading global airlines such as Qatar Airways and Singapore Airlines, and she has presented her work at international conferences worldwide. She has been the recipient of several prestigious grants and awards, including those from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the European Commission, RMIT’s Global Business Innovation Fund, and the Australian Academy of Science’s Ukraine-Australia Research Fund. Additionally, she has completed numerous professional development programs through IATA and ICAO, enhancing her expertise in flight data analysis, airline marketing, safety inspection, and aviation security. Dr. Heiets’s work exemplifies the integration of academic rigor, industry collaboration, and innovative teaching, contributing significantly to the advancement of global aviation education and management research.
